Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS)
Geospatial touches so many industries—construction, infrastructure, energy—but we don’t always have a shared space to connect across them. Geo Week creates that bridge. It brings together people who are usually siloed and helps us align on standards, workflows, and what ‘good’ looks like moving forward.
Geo Week has become one of the most important gatherings for the geospatial mapping industry and a key part of my professional development. What I did not fully expect when I first attended was the unparalleled opportunity to interact directly with leading scientists, engineers, and practitioners who are shaping the future of lidar, photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geospatial technologies.
Geo Week is one of the best places to see where the industry is actually going. It’s not just about seeing new hardware or software. It’s about understanding how the technology is being used to solve real problems, reduce risk, improve decision-making, and change how projects are planned, built, and managed.
Geo Week not only showcases technology demonstrations, but also provides industry case-studies, deeply technical scientific presentations, and commercialized off-the-shelf solutions.
[Geo Week] is the premier event for increased integration between the built environment, advanced airborne/terrestrial technologies, and commercial 3D technologies. The conference aims to provide better information about both the built and natural world to make better decisions, work more efficiently, and even change the world.
I have walked away from Geo Week with relationships that shaped how I lead, how I write, and how I think about this field - none of which I planned for when I registered.
Seeing the latest advances in technology in our industry all under one roof in one venue is always exciting. There is always a buzz about the new advances and the new developments across the industry. Combined with the great networking opportunities with colleagues, old and new, it makes for a great week.
Come with specific problems, not just curiosity. The people here have seen versions of your challenge before, and you will leave with a shorter path to solving it.
This industry is evolving fast, and having a dedicated place for geospatial, reality capture, BIM, drones, LiDAR, digital twins, and construction technology professionals to come together is incredibly valuable. So many of these workflows overlap now, and Geo Week creates a forum where those conversations can happen across disciplines instead of in silos.
The future of the planet is relying on technology to be able to solve some of our most pressing problems. We need to do it better, faster and cheaper, Geo Week shows that this can be done in the geospatial domain.
Geo Week is a must attend event from an educational perspective. It is well run, well organized and always presents timely and applicable information!
