Jay is the UAS Operations Manager in the Colliers Engineering & Design survey group with over 6 years of experience in unmanned aerial data collection and processing. Prior to the transition to unmanned aerial data collection, he worked as a professional photographer and brings this experience to the group to provide guidance in photographic and video data collection for mapping and inspections.
Mr. Armbrust is currently responsible for UAS project phase management, field crew logistics, and oversight of the group’s aerial lidar data registration. Through this experience he has refined data collection and processing workflows to improve accuracy and consistently exceed targeted standards.
Mr. Armbrust also manages, maintains, and monitors the safe and effective use of a fleet of over 50 aircraft including entry level through advanced platforms and has designed and constructed payload integrations in order to expand this fleet’s capabilities.
