Nejc Dougan is the CTO and co-founder of Flai, where he leads the technical development and research team, bringing state-of-the-art AI and 3D computer vision research into production-grade software products for LiDAR data processing and geospatial automation. He has a background in Geodesy and Geoinformatics, as well as Computer Science, with a focus on artificial intelligence and 3D computer vision.
Before founding Flai, Nejc worked at an aerial mapping acquisition company, where he was involved in all aspects of LiDAR projects—from flight planning and operating airborne sensor systems to managing end-to-end project delivery. This hands-on industry experience informs his approach to building robust, scalable solutions that meet real-world demands. In 2024, he was recognized as one of xyHt’s “24 Young Geospatial Professionals to Watch.”
