Dr. Songlin Fei is a Professor and Dean’s Chair of Remote Sensing at Purdue University. He also serves as the director of the Institute for Digital Forestry. His research spans forest ecology, invasion ecology, macrosystems ecology, and the use of digital and remote sensing technologies to study large-scale ecosystem dynamics. Dr. Fei is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). His work has advanced understanding of how natural and human drivers shape forest systems and has positioned him as a leading voice in applying cutting-edge technology to forestry research.
