David Lestani

David’s career has been built on helping asset intensive organizations improve operations by combining the power of asset management and location technologies. His status as Maximo subject matter expert is built on over 20 years’ experience designing, creating and improving information systems and processes for assets ranging from pipes and pump stations to roads and rolling stock.   
 
David provides asset management thought leadership and is a constant driving force for technical and process innovation. Recent examples include designing the integration of an engineering content management system with IBM Maximo, providing direct access to rich content like technical drawings and maintenance manuals within the context of the work order or asset records for field workers on their mobile device. His focus on unlocking the potential of assets through the enhanced use of data and data analytics has been demonstrated through the integration of Maximo and Operations Manager and Control Systems (OMCS) to efficiently raise work orders for detected and predicted faults from real-time performance data.  
 
David’s strengths lie in facilitating strategic and technology roadmap planning and engaging stakeholders in the change process to implement improvement initiatives. His expertise at the junction of asset management information systems and location intelligence is instrumental in expanding his clients’ operational capabilities and, ultimately, improved asset performance.
