Dale Fried earned his PhD in Atomic Physics in the lab of MIT Professors Kleppner and Greytak trapping and cooling hydrogen atoms. After a stint in optical telecom at Clarendon Photonics he moved to MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he helped develop advanced photon-counting lidar systems. In 2014 he founded 3DEO to commercialize this lidar system technology for commercial and defense applications. He serves as founder and CEO for a talented team of engineers, scientists, and technology professionals.
