I have been with Brasfield & Gorrie for the past four years as part of the Innovation and Operational Technology Department, where our mission is to identify, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions to real-world challenges in the construction industry. Our work spans across both hardware innovations including drones, laser scanning, robotics, and advanced surveying and software advancements, such as SaaS platforms, in-house app development, and GIS integration.
In 2021, I helped pioneer the use of GIS at Brasfield & Gorrie, driving its adoption as a critical tool across the organization. Since then, GIS has grown from an emerging idea into a transformative capability. Over just four years, our team has successfully introduced GIS applications on more than 150 projects nearly half of all active projects company-wide by 2025 empowering field teams to leverage GIS for safety initiatives and everyday operational tasks. Today, GIS continues to expand its influence across the company, extending into management and preconstruction, where data-driven insights are shaping smarter decision-making.
Before joining Brasfield & Gorrie, I spent seven years in Commercial Real Estate, specializing in site development. During that time, I applied GIS processes and tools to evaluate land suitability and demographic data, helping clients identify optimal locations and make informed investment decisions.
