Eric Ebert

Eric M. Ebert is the Founder and President of Falcon Unmanned Systems, a U.S.-based geospatial and drone services company specializing in large-scale renewable energy and critical infrastructure operations. With a strong focus on autonomous and BVLOS-enabled workflows, Eric has built Falcon Unmanned Systems into a trusted provider of high-cadence geospatial intelligence for some of the nation’s largest solar construction and operations programs.

Under his leadership, Falcon Unmanned Systems has grown from a single-drone operation into a multi-platform fleet supporting daily autonomous drone dock operations, flying millions of acres annually across the United States. The company is known for its ability to deliver consistent, construction-grade photogrammetry,  and time-series data at scale—helping developers, EPCs, and asset owners make faster, more informed decisions in dynamic environments.

Eric brings a deeply operational mindset to the geospatial space, emphasizing repeatability, reliability, and real-world usability over one-off data collection. His work centers on integrating autonomous drone docks, remote operations centers, and high-frequency aerial capture into construction and O&M workflows—particularly in renewable energy, where climate variability and site scale demand constant situational awareness.

A recognized leader in advanced UAS operations, Eric holds multiple FAA Part 107 waivers, including authorization for BVLOS, operations over people, operations over moving vehicles, and multiple simultaneous aircraft. He regularly collaborates with regulators, technology partners, and industry leaders to help shape practical, safety-driven approaches to scaling autonomous aerial operations.

Eric is passionate about using geospatial technology to support resilient infrastructure, accelerate renewable energy deployment, and move the industry from reactive inspection toward proactive, data-driven operations.
