RANGER-FLEX and RFM2
What is it? The Phoenix LiDAR RANGER-FLEX and RFM2 Mobile mapping solution integrates dual RIEGL VUX-1 UAV22 sensors, paired with the LCI-100 IMU and Ladybug 6 camera for high-resolution colorization. In addition to mobile mapping capabilities, the innovative design of the dual headed system enables one of the two heads to be removed and utilized as a standalone unit on either an aerial or ground vehicle, resulting in a flexible, multi use solution without having to purchase additional LiDAR systems.
Who is using it? Engineering firms, Departments of Transportation, and utility service providers use survey-grade and NDAA-compliant LiDAR solutions for asset management, inspection, and geomorphology.
Having a flexible solution enables these teams to complete different projects to produce deliverables that adhere to industry standards of point density and accuracy.
When re-integrating the secondary head of the RFM2 system, the Phoenix LiDAR “zero point” system removes the need for recalibration.
