Benjamin Ghansah is a PhD candidate in Geospatial Computer Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M AgriLife Research, specializing in GeoAI, remote sensing, and high-throughput agricultural phenotyping. With over 10 years of international experience spanning three continents, he has developed expertise in integrating satellite and UAS imagery and lidar with machine learning models to solve complex environmental and agricultural challenges. His research portfolio includes work at the University of Miami’s Center for Urban and Community Design, where he developed geospatial vulnerability models for coastal infrastructure, and at the International Water Management Institute in Ghana, focusing on water resource management and watershed analysis. Benjamin has published 20+ peer-reviewed articles in leading geospatial journals, presented at major international conferences including IEEE IGARSS and ASPRS, and is proficient in Python-based geospatial data pipelines, cloud-based processing platforms, and advanced GIS analysis using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine.
