Robert Chavez has been in the CAD field for 19 years with majority of that experience being in the engineering and construction industry. He is the Virtual Design Supervisor for Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and works on projects for the District’s Water Reclamation Facilities, Conveyance Network, Jurisdictional Watercourses, and Green Infrastructure program. He is accountable for CAD/BIM project support, implementation of new technology, and management for design applications including Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, Recap, and InfraWorks. Robert is an Adjunct Instructor at Marquette University where he teaches AutoCAD Civil 3D and Building Information Modeling to students in the Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering program. Leading to his current role at MMSD, Robert’s experience started in 2004 as a CAD Drafter responsible for creating construction and as-built plan sets for Losik Engineering. From 2010 to 2012 he worked as a 3D Model Technician for Kapur and Associates where he was responsible for creating road and surface models, as well as providing survey set-up support.
