Dr. Huiran Jin is an Assistant Professor at the School of Applied Engineering and Technology in the Newark College of Engineering of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). She also has two joint appointments in the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Science at NJIT’s College of Science and Liberal Arts and the Department of Data Science at NJIT’s Ying Wu College of Computing. Her research focuses on spatiotemporal analysis and modeling of environmental changes at local to regional and global scales, taking advantage of airborne and satellite data, state-of-the-art data fusion and machine learning techniques, and big data analytics.
