I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Connecticut (UConn). I am very interested in viewing nature through lenses and sensors. Currently, I am working under Dr. Chandi Witharana, focusing on advanced remote sensing technologies and Deep learning techniques to answer how roadside vegetation is impacted by climate change and could impose risk to infrastructures. Also, as a Ph.D. project, I am developing models to predict power outages and classify risk levels to the utility infrastructures due to tree failure during extreme weather conditions. During my Masters, I worked on Forest biomass and Carbon estimation using Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and Very high-resolution imagery
