Emerging Technology Showcase 2021

If you have ever attended the International Lidar Mapping Forum(ILMF) conference in person, you may be familiar with the highly popular “Product Preview” sessions held at each conference. These sessions give a rapid-fire introduction to new technology, updated software solutions, and demonstrate the latest technology for your work.

These “Emerging Technology Showcases” feature companies demonstrating their products or launching their new tech in short videos. This session, which took place on April 22, 2021 featured presentations from five companies:

PhaseOne

PhaseOne researches, develops, and manufactures medium and large format digital photography systems, software and imaging solutions for industrial markets. Solutions range from aerial image acquisition to machine vision applications and cultural heritage preservation. Whether mapping the globe, executing industrial inspections or preserving priceless works of art and documents, the focus is on imaging accuracy.

TopoDOT

TopoDOT is a leading software development company located in Orlando, FL specializing in LiDAR and point cloud processing solutions. SiteScape

Last year, Apple made huge news by announcing some lidar-enabled devices, which opened up new possibilities for 3D scanning applications. SiteScape is a mobile app and web portal for AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) professionals to capture dimensionally accurate 3D scans of indoor spaces for construction work-in-place/issue tracking, QA/QC, and remote job site access. In this video, SiteScape Founder Andy Putch talks about SiteScape’s latest release.

XenomatiX

XenomatiX is the first company to offer true solid state lidar sensors based on a multi-beam lasers concept and risk-free, scalable, semiconductor technology. For the Automotive and Industrial markets, XenomatiX offers customized series-production lidar modules, referred to as X-Module, for ADAS and AD applications, with focus on performance, size and cost.
