Hamid Norouzi, Ph.D., P.E., is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering Technology at New York City College of Technology, CUNY, and Co-Founder and CEO of Eco Rising Solutions, a geospatial environmental technology firm delivering satellite-based heat, water, and climate resilience analytics to cities and asset owners. With 20 years of experience in remote sensing, urban climate, and water resources, he leads applied research funded by NASA, NOAA, NSF, DoD, and DOE, among many others, spanning satellite thermal downscaling, urban heat mitigation tools, and distributed environmental sensing across the New York City subway system. He has authored more than 45 peer-reviewed publications, is a contributing author to the ARC3.3 climate assessment, holds PE licenses in New York and Texas, and presents regularly at AGU, AMS, and IEEE IGARSS.
