Heather Maran

Heather Maran is a graduate student at Oregon State University pursuing a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Within the geomatics research group, Heather is integrating geospatial techniques such as lidar and satellite derived bathymetry to inform coastal resiliency. Her work explores capturing and quantifying detailed changes with the goal of proactively detecting coastal hazards. Outside of research, Heather is Co-Hub leader of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance Pacific NW Chapter, and Public Outreach Director of the ASPRS Oregon State chapter.
