GIS Scientist and Environmental Engineer with over 15 years of extensive experience in geospatial modeling, remote sensing applications, and natural resource management. Holding a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering with a specialization in GIS and Remote Sensing application development from Michigan Technological University. Currently serving as the Aeronautics Data & Analytics Chief at MassDOT Aeronautics, their work focuses on leveraging advanced GIS and remote sensing technologies to enhance transportation infrastructure management. Dr. Abood’s notable professional history includes significant roles at NOAA, the USDA Forest Service, and ETH Zurich, where they contributed to projects addressing deforestation, natural resources monitoring, and emergency management.
