Josh Price is a hydrographer, project manager, and QA/QC lead with Prairie Engineers, where he supports inland hydrographic surveys, multibeam and single-beam data processing, topobathymetric integration, and technical quality review. His recent work includes river, reservoir, bridge, and sediment-mapping projects involving sonar, GNSS, lidar, photogrammetry, GIS, and automated data analysis.
Before joining Prairie Engineers in 2025, Josh spent nearly a decade with the U.S. Geological Survey, leading and supporting GNSS surveying, bathymetric mapping, drone-based lidar and photogrammetry, and water-resource investigations. His project experience includes a 14-day paleoflood research expedition through the Grand Canyon.
Josh holds a B.S. in Water Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.S. in Engineering Technology, specializing in Survey Engineering and Geomatics, from the University of Maine. He also develops R- and Python-based tools for geospatial analysis, hydrographic comparison, and quality control.
