Dr. Dru Smith was Chief Geodesist of NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey for ten years, and is now NSRS Modernization Manager, responsible for managing the replacement of NAD 83 and NAVD 88. He has published over 50 papers on numerous geodetic topics.
