Drew Knight, ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist (CP) and Certified Mapping Technician – lidar (CMT-lidar), is a lidar professional with Ayres Associates specializing in the acquisition, processing, and application of geospatial data for mapping and surveying projects. He manages projects across the full lifecycle, utilizing mobile, terrestrial, airborne, and UAV-based lidar systems, as well as aerial photogrammetry, to deliver design-grade geospatial products for a wide range of clients.
Drew holds a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Georgia, where his research focused on remote sensing, object detection, and vegetation mapping. Throughout his career, he has worked across both the public and private sectors, supporting geospatial mapping, surveying, and reality capture initiatives while helping organizations implement innovative and efficient data collection and processing workflows.
His professional expertise includes lidar processing, photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, and UAV surveying. Drew is passionate about advancing geospatial technologies, improving data quality, and developing practical solutions that maximize the value of lidar and remote sensing data.
