Stewart Walker retired in 2017 as director, product initiatives for BAE Systems’ Geospatial eXploitation Products business. As sole proprietor of photogrammetry4u llc, he provides marketing and business development services in photogrammetry, lidar, and mapping. Stewart is managing editor of LIDAR Magazine, chair of The ISPRS Foundation and treasurer of ASPRS. He is on adjunct faculty at San Diego State University. He holds MA, MScE and PhD degrees in geography and geomatics from the universities of Glasgow, New Brunswick and Bristol, and an MBA from Heriot-Watt. He is an ASPRS-certified photogrammetrist. He is Fellow of ASPRS, the British Cartographic Society, the Royal Geographical Society, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society. After an academic career at the University of East London, Stewart transitioned to the private sector in 1987, working in sales, product management, marketing and business development for Leica Geosystems and its predecessor companies in England, Switzerland and the US. He has over 200 publications. He joined BAE Systems in 2004. He lives in Poway, California.
