Carlos Pulido

Carlos Pulido is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Earth and Environment at Florida International University. His research explores how functional traits of wetland plant communities influence ecosystem resilience and stability across spatial and ecological scales, with a focus on freshwater wetlands in the Florida Everglades. Carlos integrates trait-based ecology, long-term monitoring, and remote sensing to assess restoration outcomes and vegetation transitions under changing hydrologic regimes. He is also an experienced mentor, educator, and field ecologist, actively involved in the NSF-funded FCE LTER program. Carlos serves as President of the FIU student chapter of the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and Treasurer of the FCE student group.
