Alex Baikovitz is the CEO at Mach9 in San Francisco, CA. Alex co-founded Mach9 with leading AI researchers and engineers from the autonomous driving industry and Carnegie Mellon University to accelerate the development of global infrastructure with the fastest geospatial production solutions. Before founding Mach9, Alex was a NASA Space Technology Research Fellow at the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute (RI), where he built robotic systems for nuclear decontamination and decommissioning for the Department of Energy and supported CMU’s team in the DARPA Subterranean Challenge. Previously, Alex worked on vehicle engineering on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon parachutes and pyrotechnics team and developed vision-based navigation software for a computational agriculture project at Alphabet’s X, the moonshot factory. Alex received his BS in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.
