Seth R. Pollack is a senior program and strategy leader at NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey (NGS), where he plays a key role in guiding the modernization of the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS)—the foundation for positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) across the United States. He leads cross-disciplinary efforts that bridge geodetic science, software development, and enterprise program management to deliver the largest update to the nation’s coordinate framework in over 40 years.
Seth brings more than two decades of experience leading complex, mission-critical initiatives across federal and private-sector environments, with deep expertise in large-scale modernization, stakeholder engagement, and organizational transformation. A U.S. Army veteran, Master of Business Administration (MBA) holder, Project Management Professional (PMP), and a professional certificate holder from MIT in Agentic AI for Organizational Transformation, he is known for translating highly technical change into practical outcomes for government, industry, and the geospatial community. At Geo Week, Seth is excited to discuss what NSRS modernization means for surveyors, engineers, and geospatial professionals—and how today’s investments are shaping the future of national geospatial infrastructure.
