Wallace, a longtime Silicon Valley insider, held leadership roles at Autodesk, Leica Geosystems, Pix4D, Topcon, etc., delivering SW/HW technologies for the built world.
He led Autodesk’s early entry in the Process/Power space as Sr. Product Manager of PlantSpec and served as their representative to the AP 227: Plant Spatial Configuration standards committee. The STEP standards were a precursor to the initial BIM IFC standards, on which he also consulted.
At IB Systems, during the Internet 1.0 era, he conceived and launched AECCafe.com and was involved in the management of GISCafe.com and MCADCafe.com.
Serving for 12 years as the product manager of Leica’s software products Cyclone, and CloudWorx, and introducing TruView, he helped usher in the reality capture segment from its early days to mainstream technology.
He helped bring Pix4D’s Crane Camera to market (in the USA) and drones in construction, and Topcon’s 3D GPS Machine Control for excavators; amazing cutting-edge innovations for the built-world community.
Intrigued by emerging technologies and inspired by the potential of AR for the built-world space; he spent the last few years focused on it. Having launched an AR startup focused on the infrastructure enterprise, he prides himself on gaining and sharing his knowledge of the developments in this space.
