Stephanie Jiménez was born and raised in Pittsburgh where they trained as a multi-genre pianist and achieved both a BA in global and popular music and BS in environmental science with a focus in GIS and satellite remote sensing from the University of Pittsburgh. Alongside regional experts in Amazonia, Stephanie currently helps coordinate science projects and initiatives problem-solving decision-making challenges in monitoring and prevention of deforestation, flooding, fire, and social exclusion using Earth observing remote sensing.
