Iulia is a true hands-on expert when it comes to Scan to BIM. Her first-hand experience in the field makes her a dedicated advocate for the needs of professionals and pushes her to improve the Scan to BIM workflow.
Iulia graduated with her Master’s degree in Geomatics from the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest in 2016. However, since she was writing her thesis at the University of Stuttgart that same year, she decided to spend more time in Germany. Therefore she took on a role in the Service & Training department at Laserscanning Europe. She spent the next 5 years there, gaining hands-on experience: From scanning with terrestrial and mobile mapping devices in the field to registering and processing point cloud data and modeling this data in various CAD and BIM software – she’s done it all! In 2021 she decided to take a new direction in her career. Ever since, she filled the role of Product Manager at PointCab, using her insights to constantly improve the PointCab products according to the users’ needs.
