Kim Mantey is the Deputy Director of the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) at the United States Geological Survey, where she has worked for the last 12 years. She began at USGS working in Operations, wrapping up the historic 10 meter DEM digitization program. She also worked briefly in support of the US Topographic Program. The majority of her time in Operations was spent working in data validation, processing, editing, and design and operational implementation of the 3DEP, as well as managing software development and other remote sensing tasks. She has been the Deputy Director at NGTOC since January of 2021, and oversees the Commercial Partnership Team (CPT) that manages the Geospatial Products and Services Contract (GPSC). Kim has a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Geography and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Colorado Denver where she graduated from in 2010, and a Certificate in Engineering Technology (Autocad) from Red Rocks Community College awarded in 2011.
