Jake Ingle is a 25-year industry veteran literally shaping the industry through creative, innovative and inspiring terrain design. If you’ve competed or enjoyed playing snow in the last two decades it’s likely you’ve experienced Jake’s handy work.
Early in his career Jake spent winters grooming and snowmaking at Copper Mountain, and summers working for POMA building lifts, before transitioning to be an independent contractor building freestyle venues around the world. During this 20 year period, Jake was responsible for building superpipes and boardercross ventures for the US Ski & Snowboard Team including building Olympic qualifying freestyle venues for the Grand Prix Series, at resorts including Mammoth, Park City, Copper, Killington, Breckenridge and more.
Additionally, Jake has been involved with more than 50 World Cup venues and has built internationally in Japan, Austria, and New Zealand. Jake’s career highlights include building the Superpipe for the 2018 PyeongChang South Korea Olympics where Shaun White secured his 3rd Gold Medal on his final run; and building the Big Air event in Fenway Park in 2016.
Jake joined the Steamboat Ski Resort team in 2020 and has played a vital role in overseeing Full Steam Ahead developments including Greenhorn Ranch beginner area, Wild Blue Gondola, Snowmaking expansions and more, while also expanding the resort’s event offerings with the Visa Big Air in 2022. Jake shares his love for the mountains and outdoors with his wife, four year old son and 1.5 year old twins.
