Greg Stensaas has worked with remote sensing systems and data for over 38 years. He is currently USGS emeritus and worked at USGS for over 25 years. He has worked for USGS EROS Cal/Val Center of Excellence (ECCOE) and the Landsat Program, NASA Earth Observation System Distributed Information System (EOSDIS), and U.S. Army and Air Force. He has worked with sensors across the spectrum for satellite, airborne and in situ systems, worked on data processing and simulation systems, and has a strong focus on remote sensing data quality and calibration.
Greg is currently the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Primary Data Acquisition Division (PDAD) director and has been the PDAD director twice previously. Greg has helped establish quality assurance initiatives including Digital Camera Calibration Guidelines, Lidar Data Quality Guidelines, and is working to support UAS Calibration Guidelines and Accuracy standards.
