Chris Robinson is a remote sensing data scientist with over 20 years of experience in mapping terrestrial and aquatic features in coastal environments. He currently serves as a Technical Domain Expert at NV5 Geospatial, where he leads a team focused on developing machine learning based approaches for analyzing remotely sensed data.
Before joining NV5 Geospatial, Mr. Robinson worked as a Remote Sensing Scientist on contract to the NOAA Office for Coastal Management for 19 years. In this role, he contributed to development of the Coastal Change Analysis Program’s high resolution product line.
Mr. Robinson holds a Master of Science in Geography with a specialization in Biophysical Remote Sensing from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, he earned a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics from the College of Charleston.
With his extensive experience and expertise, Mr. Robinson always stives to identify the appropriate combination of techniques and data for addressing the issues facing coastal ecosystems.Â
