Ben Vander Jagt has an extensive background in Photogrammetry, Lidar, and Remote Sensing algorithm development, and is a founder of PixElement. He specializes in innovative, applied, and reliable algorithm development for automated 3D reconstruction routines. He completed his masters degree in photogrammetry at Purdue University, and his PhD at The Ohio State University.
In addition to his duties at PixElement, he also serves as a technical reviewer for several journals including IEEE, Remote Sensing of Environment, and Journal of Remote Sensing. Ben is actively involved with his regional American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) chapter, as well as the geospatial community at large.
Growing up, Ben hated math and computers, and wanted to be a professional fisherman. He was unsuccessful.
