Dr. Anne Osio is an expert in geoinformation technology and earth observation, currently a Senior Technologist at the Technical University of Kenya (TU-K). With a Ph.D. in Geoinformatics, Master’s degree in Environmental Science, and a B.Phil. in Geoinformation Technology, she has extensive experience in the field. Her research focuses on the intersection of climate change, land use, and environmental conservation, using advanced tools like geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and data science. She has significantly contributed to ecosystem modelling and ecological responses to climate change. Dr. Osio has received numerous awards and grants, including the Hubert Curie Partnership and the Rockefeller Foundation. She has published 7 peer reviewed papers extensively presented broadly at the ISPRS Congress in 2020,2021 and 2022, and the GEOBIA Congress in 2018.
