Aaron Gonçalves is the North America Mine Measurement Technical Lead & Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Maptek. He has 12-years mining experience with expertise focused specifically on terrestrial lidar scanning for slope stability monitoring & assessment, design conformance, and geological mapping. Aaron's undergraduate education is from Fort Lewis College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. He obtained his Masters of Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Missouri Science & Technology. Before coming to work at Maptek in 2014, Aaron worked as a Production Mine Geologist at the Freeport – McMoRan Climax Molybdenum mine in Colorado.
