Recent small Uncrewed Aircraft Observations (sUAS) in Major Hurricane Ian (2022)

On September 28th, 2022 NOAA and Area-I conducted a groundbreaking small Uncrewed Aircraft System (sUAS) mission into major hurricane Ian. Details including the challenges we had to overcome, the extreme weather we persevered and the promise of the unique observations collected will be discussed.
