This session presents cutting-edge applications of geospatial technology that are enhancing safety, efficiency, and resilience in transportation and mobility systems. From dynamic digital twins to advanced AI-driven asset management and safety visualization tools, these case studies illustrate how integrating data from multiple sources enables communities to make smarter, data-driven decisions for urban mobility, rural infrastructure, and highway safety.

Lidar/Imagery Data Collection, Asset Extraction with AI, and Asset Management System for Boone County, Illinois
In Boone County, Illinois, an innovative asset management initiative uses high-precision lidar and 360° imagery to map and catalog highway assets across 96 miles of rural roadways. The Dynasty Group and uGRIDD Corp. employed AI-powered geospatial technology for asset extraction and data processing, providing the county with an accurate, digital inventory accessible via a custom asset management platform. This presentation will outline the workflows used to collect, validate, and share geospatial data, highlighting how this approach enables Boone County to make better-informed decisions on asset maintenance, safety, and infrastructure upgrades.

The Stadium of the Future

The City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Jaguars have collaborated on a substantial renovation project for EverBank Stadium. The timeline to complete this $1.4 Billion project and minimize the stadium’s downtime was very aggressive. The entirety of the stadium grounds, including associated parking and the attached concert venue, needed to be surveyed to help transform the present stadium into “The Stadium of the Future” for the City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Jaguars. ETM Surveying & Mapping, Inc. (ETM Survey) was selected by the Jaguars and Impact Development Management to undertake this pivotal task. ETM Survey employed a meticulously planned approach incorporating innovative, technology-driven workflows to adhere to the project’s stringent schedules and timelines stipulated by the architects and engineers.
