Can large-area mapping with UAV lidar yield high-accuracy and cost-effective results? In the last few years, lidar acquisition from medium-scaled unmanned aerial vehicles has found growing fields of applications by providing dense point clouds with high precision and impressive accuracy. Such employed lidar instruments have evolved significantly with respect to measurement speed and acquisition efficiency. In this session, panelists will discuss scanning schemes for UAV-based laser scanning which is especially suited for corridor mapping from UAV platforms.
Session moderated by Qassim Abdullah, Vice President and Chief Scientist, Woolpert.
Session format includes moderated panel discussion followed by audience Q&A.
